'Corellia: a festering breeding ground for intergalactic scum and villany.' Lanzhou Urumqi thought viciously. 'But they have d**n good whiskey.' he rebuked, pulling towards him the tall glass of Whyren's Reserve he had ordered. He had just finished a high-paying job, and felt like treating himself. He had been playing pazaak with a mysterious gran, who was obviously cheating.
"Hey buddy, I see that +/- card up your sleeve." a bit ironic, considering Lanzhou had a shifter hidden in a very 'special' place.
He had obviously said the wrong thing, as the gran had upturned the table and was waving a concussion rifle around.
"Easy pal, no need to get upset." naturally, Lanzhou was extricating his blasters out of their holsters. "Take it easy, and I won't have to shoot you."

Ajak was not feeling very warm at the moment. He had been out of work for a while, and Pazaak had been his only source of income. However, this Kel Dor seemed to be beating him almost effortlessly. The Kel Dor's snide comment regarding the +/- up his sleeve threw him over the edge. Upturning the table, he pulled out his concussion rifle and started waving it around, cursing in basic.
The sight of the blasters pointed at him did nothing to assuage his mood. Ajak sent several bursts of his rifle at the cheeky smuggler, then lept behind the tble, using it as cover as he pulled out his Outland Rifle.

Lanzhou ducked right os the concussion blasts passed where his head had been.
"alright pal, I'm going to have to put you in time out." he pu away his pistols as he saw the Outland, and drew his blaster cannon and sent a spray of shots over his own cover, the bar.
"Come and get me three-eyes!" Lanzhou taunted, hoping to get into close quarters combat.

Ajak was already very mad, but that comment sent him berzerk. He put away his rifle, and drew his VibroBlade. Rising, he could see that the Kel Dor had two. Nonetheless, Ajak was a better swordsman, and he rushed at Lanzhou screaming, slashing and parrying.

Lanzhou was quite taken aback by the ferocity of the Gran bounty hunter, but he did his best to fend off his attacks.
Thrust. Block. Stab. Circle. The battle raged on for what seemed like an eternity, until finally the Gran overpowerd Lanzhou, forcing him to his knees and laying his vibroblade upon his neck.

As Ajak looked down at the pitiful creature below his blade, the hatred in his body subsided. He looked at Lanzhou in a different light. ot as an enemy, but as a worthy adversary.
Withdrawing his blade, he spoke for the first time. "No bounty on you. A pity." then he left to his ship. Lucky he did, because he received word from the Dark Lord of the Sith that he had just placed a rather large bounty on the head of a space pirate named Dan Zorko. He also learned that Zorko was in the vicinity of Hapes, or would be soon.
With a grin, he picked his ship up off the landing platform, and took off. This is what he did best.

Lanzhou watched the Gran leave, glad to be rid of him. He would have loved to stay, but the barman was eyeing him dangerously, so he decided to make a break for Nar Shadda. Upon starting up his ship however, a hologram appeared on the dashboard, revealing the face of Admiral Gorrhnak.
"Admiral, so pleased to see you. What can I help you with?" he asked, his voice full or mock kindness.

The Admiral sgihed, then growled at Lanzhou.
"We have learned that the Imperials are re-forming Lanzhou. They plan to attack somewhere, but we need to know where. What can you do?"

'It was perhaps not a good think he understood Shyriiwook', Lanzhou reflected. 'This would not ened well.'
"Alright you big furball, I'll see what I can do. I'll be seing you."
Lanzhou terminated the transmission, then started transmitting to Senator Jinn, his informant in the senate.
"Hey Senator, it's Lanzhou. I've received word that the Imperials are reforming, and getting ready to turn a world into dust. Any info for me?"

Senator Kopf Jinn was not in a very good moos once he had heard Lanzhou's news about the Imperials.
"Nope, nothing on Imperial invasions from anyone in the Senate, or even any of my moles neither."
Kopf abruptly ended the transmission. He didn't like Lanzhou much, and didn't want to talk long.
