Background Info: Xai was rescued as a small girl by a Jedi Knight from a bunch of space pirates who had attacked the ship she was on and were trying to hold her for ransom, not realizing she wa an orphan and not the girl they had thought. The Jedi realized she was Force-Sensitive and took her to be trained. She grew up completely content wth the Jedi life, until one day her master was killed by a bunch of space pirates, doing his job as he had always done. From that moment on, she devoted her life, not only to the Jedi teachings, but to helping anyone in danger from evil people.
While on a mission her travels took her to a distant planet, where she found the weapon she carries now, an ancient Jedi sword from the days when lightsabers were just coming into existence. Its blade seems dull at first glance, but when she wields it, it glows blue with Light Side Force energy and becomes as sharp as a lightsaber, strikig fear into all but the strongest of Dark-Side adepts. It is said only the pure of heart can wield this weapon, nay, even touch it without being burned to the very soul by the hilt. And for now, she remains as steadfast as ever.
Also, on that planet, among the ruins where she acquired her weapon, she picked up her armor, and another object of great interest, a holocron created by Mace Windu. She learned much from the Jedi, including his unique lightsaber form of Vaapad. This made her fighting style incredibly different from other fightng styles, which gives her an edge in combat.
